Federal Investigation

The investigation into the threats received by many Crowley County residents on June 27-28, 2022, is now nearing the prosecution phase in the Federal Courts. Letters have been sent out by the Federal Government to many persons and businesses that were affected by this case. I have received several calls from residents thinking the letters are not legitimate and have thrown them away. My concern is that at the same time the legitimate letters were sent out several citizens received letters purported to be from the FBI that were not. If you were affected and lost money due to the threats made, please carefully review the letter, and respond with your losses. If in doubt we can try and assist. The legitimate letters should list a case number at the top.
