Following are several bills introduced into the Colorado Legislature this session. I ask that you read carefully each one as they will all seriously damage our second amendment rights if enacted!!!! If you, like I, oppose these bills please call your representative and get vocal.
HB23-1165 “County Authority to Prohibit Firearms Discharge”- This bill would allow counties the authority to ban shooting on private property within their jurisdiction.
HB23-1219 “Waiting Period to Deliver a Firearm” – This bill requires a 3-day waiting period for firearm purchase; extending waiting periods will not affect a criminal’s motive.
HB23-1230 “Prohibiting Assault Weapons in Colorado”- This bill prohibits a person from manufacturing, importing, purchasing, selling, offering to sell, or transferring ownership of an assault weapon.
SB23-168 “Gun Violence Victim’s Access to Judicial System”- This bill will allow individuals to sue firearm manufacturers directly.
SB 23-169 “Increasing the Minimum Age to Purchase a Firearm to 21”- This legislation would raise the firearm age to 21.
SB23-170 “Extreme Risk Protection Order Petitions”- This bill expands the current Red Flag provisions, allowing even more people to report gun owners to local authorities.
